瑞穂の地名

二、殿ケ谷の字(あざ)  2. Aza names of Tonogaya

○ザン堀フチ○ Zanbori-fuchi (Zanbori riverside)
 残堀渕(ふち)とも残堀縁(ふち)ともとれる。土地の方言でいえば残堀ツぷちということになる。したがって残堀川のふち、川添いの所といった意味の地名ととれる。 It can be written either Zanbori-fuchi (fuchi with, 渕, meaning 'deep pool of water' ) or Zanbori-fuchi (fuchi with, 縁, the edge). Therefore, it can be interpreted as the place name meaning the edge of the Zanbori River, or river-side place.

○砂前残堀内○ Suna-mae Zanbori-uchi (in front of Suna and inside of Zanbori)
 小峯平太郎氏の所で川の南の位置。It is the south of the river where Komine Heitaro lives.
○ザン堀内○ Zanbori-uchi (Inside of Zanbori)

○砂○ Suna
 殿ケ谷村の西端、青梅街道ふちである。名主小峯家もここにあった。It is at the west end of Tonogaya Village, and beside Ome Kaido. The village headman Komine's house was also here.
