Japan won second time straight against United State in test matches though they had not done well with them in the past. This means a lot. It also boosts their confidence. In the second test, Hatayama, Kikutani, Webb, and Tomioka scored tries for Japan while the U.S. scored only three tries. Japan used to be overwhelmed by the power of the U.S., but today, it worked well as a team: new captain Kikutani led the team well, new faces Hirashima, Hatayama, Leitch, Tomioka, and Matsushita played well, and experienced Ono, Toshi Kitagawa, and Endo coordinated well with mid-career players such as Aoki, Tanaka, and Nicholas. Japan must win every tight game against an opponent at a similar level, such as the U.S., Canada, Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga.
